Surrey Wildlife Trust Alert!

Dear Residents,

Thank you to all of those who have added their names to the e-petition regarding the redundancy of Surrey Wildlife Trust’s Countryside Rangers.

However, the challenge is to increase the number of names from the current total of 3,467 to over 10,000* by  Thursday 2nd March. That means that the petition needs another 6,533 signatories in total or 816 per day for the next eight days.

Whilst it may seem like a tall order, if we all communicate this to five family members and friends, encouraging them to repeat the process, we might have a fighting chance of success ! There is no restriction on the number of people signing from each household.

To those of you who haven’t yet had the chance to add your names, the web link is below:

NB  You will receive an email from Surrey County Council within a few hours of initial registration. You need to click on the link they send to confirm your signature and complete the process.

If we care about the professional maintenance of Surrey’s beautiful countryside and the preservation of its rare flora and fauna for ourselves, our families and friends we need to retain these highly experienced and dedicated Countryside Rangers. Their retention in these roles is estimated to cost just 15 pence per head of population.

PLEASE add your name to the petition and encourage Surrey’s other residents to follow your example.

 Your support is much appreciated.
